When Delta needed to provide a signature new business traveler lounge, they called upon ECH to deliver a superior design unique to the northwest region—while maintaining Delta’s reputation for high levels of service. We developed several conceptual designs to explore a unique new look that would differ from previous lounge designs. The end result achieved a LEED® Silver Rating for Sustainable Design, the first LEED certified project at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Terminal, while achieving an exemplary customer experience rich in amenities and comfort. We led the artistic design of a custom glass sculptural wall of undulating glass that is the focal point of the flowing bamboo entry path. The design included low-flow plumbing, energy-conserving appliances, renewable construction materials, and building materials with high-recycled content. We also designed a wide range of custom furnishings including tables, A/V casework, and the reception desk and bar. The result? Sleek, sustainable amenities for the most discerning business traveler.
